By LP (Latin Percussion). Wood slats connected by a leather strap, with a wood handle at each end. Based on the traditional Japanese kokoriko, this instrument creates the sound effect of "dominoes falling" as the wooden slats strike one another. Hold a handle in each hand, using an up and down movement with alternating hands to make a clacking sound. The kokoriko produces a crisp, tight sound which can create an interesting variety of rhythmic effects. An interesting instrument for any player, from the professional percussionist to the classroom to the home enthusiast. Small enough to easily fit into a trap case or percussion carrying bag.
